The slides that Jacques Riousse has given me are motifs from his sculptures, created through heat, chemical substances, and in some cases color. Here I cannot remember what he said about the creation.
When asked what a picture should mean, he always answered: “C’est le spectateur, qui cré. The viewer creates the picture by seeing something in it. He never wanted to point the viewer in one direction by a title he gave and thus limit his imagination.
